The Department of Political Science at the School of Economics and Political Science of the
University of St.Gallen intends to fill a 50% permanent lectureship position. A 50% permanent
lectureship entails a teaching load of six semester hours per week.
The profile of this permanent lectureship reflects the needs of the Bachelor’s and Master’s de-
gree programs in International Affairs and their strategic development. Accordingly, the posi-
tion places a strong emphasis on teaching excellence and pedagogical vision. The candidate
should document a solid record in political science, with a field expertise being welcomed
(e.g. Digital Governance, Cybersecurity, Governance of Global Health and Demographic Chal-
lenges, Political Behaviour). We seek candidates to fill the position per August 1st, 2026, or by mutual agreement.
